AI can help generate possibilities when the blank page is slowing you down. Ask for several approaches to a learning goal, then choose and reshape the ideas that fit your students, curriculum, and teaching style.
Give useful context
A strong request includes the grade, subject, learning objective, available time, materials, and support needs. Avoid entering names or private student information. Describe learning needs generally and follow your school’s technology policies.
Ask for options, not authority
Use AI to propose examples, discussion questions, vocabulary supports, checks for understanding, or extension activities. Treat every response as a draft. Verify facts, standards, reading level, cultural fit, and accessibility before using it.
Preserve the human decisions
Teachers understand the classroom relationships, recent learning, and emotional climate that a tool cannot see. Keep decisions about pacing, feedback, accommodations, and student wellbeing with the educator.
